WomenIn Libya, it's not unusual at all to still see most of if not all of the people wearing their traditional clothes. Women still cover their bodies with long cloaks and loose gowns, sometimes a trouser is also used for the lower body and bright colored scarfs or veils to cover the face. Delicate designs and jewlery are often worn by the women, but the younger girls are becoming more relaxed and using more of the westernized style of clothes, more simple but still following the gowns and cloaks.

MenMen also wear much of their traditional "haik" a large cloth wrapped around the body and turbans on the head. Much similar to the women's men wear loose trousers or tunics called "shalwar". Main cities show boys wearing jeans more often and casual western clothes.
